Keep Your Product & Profits in Top Form!

In many markets new home prices have gone up by double digits for three consecutive years, bringing a renewed demand for more affordable attached housing. Builders in Southern California have responded with an explosion of new attached product, and you’ll see the very best on our upcoming two day tour of attached (and high-density detached) model homes on February 19th & 20th.

The tour will be held at the Westin South Coast Plaza Hotel at the renowned Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa, CA, just a stone’s throw from John Wayne/Orange County Airport and fabulous Newport Beach.

Why is this tour critical? Because 80% of attached buyers don’t really want to be in attached housing — they would rather buy a detached home if only they could afford it. That makes your product strategy and product compromises even more critical to your success. On this tour you’ll see a great variety of strategies — some big winners, and a few that took a swing and a miss — join us and discover what separated the winners from the rest of the pack.

Here’s just one example — You’ll see a truly innovative combo/condo project (flats + 2-story townhomes combined) — it’s a C-shaped, alley-loaded 10-plex, but four of the ten units are ranch homes!  Truly innovative and 23 units/acre.

Diversity will be the key to this tour. We’ll cover a lot of ground and see a great variety of product types, from duplexes to 2, 3, and 4 story stacked flats, to townhomes and combo-condos, and some great high-density detached townhomes and detached condos. You’ll see traditional units, alley loaded, paseo alleys, and unique clusters and motor courts. We’ll even visit a great rental project or two! And just for eye candy fun, we’ll throw in a couple of over-the-top luxury projects at the end of each day.

All in all, you’ll see 18 model home parks, more than 50 decorated models, a number of great urban MPC’s, some great sales centers and amenity facilities, and some of the best interior design to be found anywhere in the country. You’ll be exhilarated and exhausted by the end of tour(!), but if you’re like most of our tour regulars, you’ll take back nearly 500 photos chock full of great ideas!

If this is your first tour, you’ll be amazed that we fit this all into two intense, but thoroughly fun days, and in one of the best places in the country to hang out — beautiful coastal Orange County.  Come find out why so many of our ‘regulars’ keep coming back year after year!  Stay an extra night or two and enjoy all that Newport Beach has to offer — including the most beautiful weather, beaches, shopping and restaurants to be found anywhere in one place.

The tour is open to builders, developers, architects, interior designers and their employees.
